Dr. Eric Payne grew up in Morehead, KY.  Where his parents became professors at Morehead State University, and he attended college. After completing medical school and internship in Lexington, KY.  He then moved to New Orleans, LA. where he completed residency in Internal Medicine at the LSU Charity Hospital. Since then, Dr. Payne spent years of working in many emergency departments and clinics. In 2020 he independently opened Southern Internal Medicine Clinic to better help the community of Franklinton, LA.
